This category or irrigation is proven and tested since the very beginning because it is an ancient method or irrigating crops. It is the first form used by the people as they started to discover cultuvating crops. Despite of this being an ancient method, it is still one of the most prominently used at this moment.

It also provides environmental remediation sciences and proffesional methods. There are three categories in a low flow irrigation namely drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation and mist irrigation.

This category of a low flow irrigation that is able to conserve water and fertilizer by means of slowly dripping the water to the roots of different plants. This may applied to the soil surface or directly to the root zone. It is through narrow tubes that deliver water directly to the base of the plant. This preferred than surface irrigation because it leads to minimization of evaporation.

This is the method where irrigation water is applied, which is similar to natural rainfall. Water is then disseminated through a system of pipes through pumping. After that, it is then sprayed in the air through the use of sprinklers. Then, the water breaks into small water drops which then falls to the ground.

This method is slightly similar to sprinkler irrigation, only that it has smaller droplets compared to that of the sprinkler irrigation. Mist irrigation uses an equipment that is suspended in the air so as to release the tiny droplets of water im the air and eventually to the ground.

Irrigation is a great factor in agricultural activities especially in farming because it provides assistance in cropping.
